Let's start from the most basic criterion: what diameter should the fan have for my space?

The most basic factor is the size of the room: depending on the square meters of your room you select the diameter of the fan, the following table shows the minimum diameter that your fan should have.

You can of course choose a larger diameter than the one suggested, but preferably not smaller or very larger than chart suggests.
Have in mind that an excessively larger than appropriate size fan may function worse in a smaller room dut to lack of space for sufficient air movement.
